Together with Crossbase and Plan Software / 4Pace, KiM GmbH organizes the annual Ecatalog Conference. I was invited to see what’s new from these companies in the field of variant configuration.

What stuck with me most is KiM’s AI use case: in the sales configurator, a customer can describe the product they want in natural language. Something like:
I’d like a sporty men’s bike that’s also suitable for dirt tracks. With electric assist, please.
… and the AI then translates that into a product search or even into configuration parameters. Very cool 👍
